Lin Yutang stated, “Stress is an ignorant state. It believes that everything is an emergency. Nothing is that important.”

cotton_rope_hammock_navyIf you are feeling guilty for taking a few minutes for relaxation in your hammock swing or hammock chair; Don’t!  An inspiring message to keep in mind while relaxing will allow you to re-energize and focus when you return to work.

Leon J. Suenes states, “Happy are those who dream dreams and are ready to pay the price to make them come true.”  With that in mind, after your relaxation time, go back and excel at what ever you do and make your dreams come true.

It Pays To Shop Around

hammockI was walking in a discount store the other day, and over the intercomm came a message. It said, “Make your summer more enjoyable by finding the outdoor accessories you need at great savings.”  I thought about this for a moment. While I don’t recommend buying a hammock or hammock chair at a discount store, I do recommend shopping around for a quality hammock or hammock chair.

Products at discount stores do offer price and an acceptable level of quality for most items. With regard to hammocks, your relaxation experience will be more enjoyable and comfortable with a name brand quality hammock. These can be had for a price that affords true value and a meaniful warranty. Once again, the phrase, “you get what you pay for.” is exceptionally true. Spend some time investigating on the web. Compare prices and don’t forget to include shipping and tax costs when comparing prices.

Caring For Your Hammock

Many people decide to put up a hammock in their back yard, but after the install, that’s the end of that. Whether it’s used frequently or infrequently, there is generally very little upkeep that’s maintained with outdoor hammocks. But with some simple steps, you can actually greatly prolong the expected lifespan of your outdoor hammock. These tips apply to rope or fabric hammocks.

All that you have to do is frequently wash the hammock itself. Read the washing instructions on each hammock, and make sure you can throw the item into the washing machine. If not, simply hand wash the hammock like you would with any dry clean only item of clothing. Hang it as normal to dry. Make sure it gets completely dry, as mold is one of the problems that can occur with outdoor hammocks, which is precisely why frequent washing is a good idea. If you have products like hammock chairs or hammock swings, also make sure the wooden or metal apparatus is cleaned as well. Usually wiping it down with warm soapy water will be enough to remove any dirt, scum, or pollen.

Want something extra special with the special “Days” coming up? I would like to suggest a hammock, hammock swing or hammock chair for Mom or Dad. Either or any will be sure to delight them.

Wouldn’t it be great to give the special people in your life a truly personal gift? A gift that will show how much you appreciate what they have given you, by giving them the gift of relaxation.Every time they use their hammock, they will think of you and remember that special day. It truly is the gift that keeps on giving.

Gather your friends around!

allbrandsHammock chairs and swings, are a nice addition to your garden or patio. The only problem is, once you’ve hung one, you’ll probably need to hang more so your friends can all hangout and enjoy the comfort of a quality hammock chair. Hammock chairs, like hammocks, can be suspended on ropes. However, hammock chairs are designed to provide a seat, not a place to lay down. The hammock chairs are positioned in such a way that they provide back support for a sitting person.

Like traditional hammocks, hammock chairs come in a variety of shapes and styles. You may choose the reclining hammock chair, which, with it’s built in footrest, offers maximum comfort. This type of hammock is one of the best hammocks out there today.

hammock_chair_girlThings are warming up all over the country. Spring has sprung, and  summer is not far behind.
Now is the time to get a true classic of your very own, a relaxing      hammock swing.

Whether you choose a hammock swing, or fabric chair, you will be amazed of the comfort and relaxation while you read that book that has been waiting for your return, or if you just want to have that quick nap in the fresh air.
Slow down a little and enjoy some of “your” time.

Rope Chairs For Small Spaces

patiochairHammock chairs have become very popular over the last few years because of the extreme comfort and various hanging options. A rope chair or hammock swing is the perfect solution for seating in a small space. It is a cozy retreat for one. With an apartment balcony or small patio, you may not have room for the full length hammock and stand that you crave for complete and total relaxation outdoors.

In small spaces you have to have something a bit smaller which can at times be hard to find. Hammock swings feature a “compacted” reclining design that can still provide comfort. Many chairs hang by a single point, and a number of attractive stands are available. From portable to elegant the options are endless.

Consider the Chair

1002-hmka-72-green-hammaka-lifestyle-31Hammock chairs make a great seating solution both indoors and out. They are an inexpensive and creative way to add more seating to your home and are bound to become your favorite spot to relax.  You can find styles that range from simple and subdued to colorful. Many hammock chairs are designed with creativity and style in mind as well as comfort and durability.

Most people consider durability when purchasing any type of furniture and the same should be true for hammock chairs. Hammock chairs can be made of a few different materials and thus may be refered to as rope chairs and                                   fabric hammock chairs. The one you choose must be able to support your weight and be sure to hang your hammock chair from a sturdy surface that will support the weight. Be sure to check weight ratings before you buy.

Shady Days of Leisure

hammockchair-hammockgetawayThough I love perusing the pumpkin patch in fall, skiing in the winter, and planting in the spring, I think my favorite pastime is lounging in the summer sun.  There’s something about the warmth of the sun that just makes me want to doze off, and for that, I love falling asleep in hammock chairs.  I bought a hammock chair a few years ago after I had fallen asleep in one at a friend’s place… and woke up with bright red skin!  The sunburn was terrible but I remembered the comfort of that hammock chair.

When my sunburn subsided and I could lie down again, I had a hammock swing waiting beneath a shady tree in the backyard.  I’m much more careful about falling asleep in the sun, but I don’t think there’s much better than lying in a hammock underneath a shady tree and sipping a cool glass of lemonade.  The kids love it too; so much that I kept finding my son using it and had to kick him out!
