The best time to plant a tree….

hamtriarcA good friend on mine once said, “The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is right now!” If you are wanting a hammock to hang between two trees and don’t have the right trees or spacing, you can appreciate this phrase.

Well, you can plant your trees and still have your hammock. For now, opt for a hammock stand. Place it between the trees you planted and before long you will have some shade. And in about 10 years, you might be able to hang your hammock from them. And, if you are fortunate enough to have ordered a hammock with a 10 year warranty from our recommended site, you are all set!!

cotton_rope_hammock_navyIf you are feeling guilty for taking a few minutes for relaxation in your hammock swing or hammock chair; Don’t!  An inspiring message to keep in mind while relaxing will allow you to re-energize and focus when you return to work.

Leon J. Suenes states, “Happy are those who dream dreams and are ready to pay the price to make them come true.”  With that in mind, after your relaxation time, go back and excel at what ever you do and make your dreams come true.

Getting a drink holder will make your relaxation time more just that. You will enjoy having your drink hanging right there anytime you like. So don’t forget, when you order your hammock to get a drink holder.

3148136133_efdd7d504eHave you ever noticed that some people work so hard to try and get ahead that they rarely take time to relax. Now, I don’t mean that hard work should be avoided for relaxation, but relaxation is part of a healthy lifestyle especially for people who burn the candle at both ends.

When you are lying in your fabric hammock, can relax guilt free with the following quote running through your mind. Dr. Joyce Brothers had this to say, “No matter how much pressure you feel at work, if you could find ways to relax for at least five minutes every hour, you’d be more productive. You may not be able to relax five minutes every hour, but relaxation at breaks and at the end of the day will reduce your stress, improve your health, and make you more productive.

2002-hmkaMany of todays hammocks are a product of modern technology, but the original hammock concept has been around for countless centuries. In fact, during his first voyage, Christopher Columbus recorded that  American Indians were sleeping in what were called “hamacas” or nets made of cotton. Columbus was the first to bring the knowledge of hammocks to Europe and South America. Since then, hammocks have become popular throughout the world.

Today’s  hammocks come is almost every color, style and variety imaginable. There are even camping hammocks, hammock chairs and hammock accessories. Many people choose to place their hammocks on their front porches or in their yards. Some have hammocks indoors and still others choose to take their hammocks with them and own hammocks and stands with great mobility and light weight.
