Though I love perusing the pumpkin patch in fall, skiing in the winter, and planting in the spring, I think my favorite pastime is lounging in the summer sun. There’s something about the warmth of the sun that just makes me want to doze off, and for that, I love falling asleep in hammock chairs. I bought a hammock chair a few years ago after I had fallen asleep in one at a friend’s place… and woke up with bright red skin! The sunburn was terrible but I remembered the comfort of that hammock chair.
When my sunburn subsided and I could lie down again, I had a hammock swing waiting beneath a shady tree in the backyard. I’m much more careful about falling asleep in the sun, but I don’t think there’s much better than lying in a hammock underneath a shady tree and sipping a cool glass of lemonade. The kids love it too; so much that I kept finding my son using it and had to kick him out!
